Scientific Sessions

 
Computer Graphics name itself says that making Visual presentations of data using computer, and displayed on the Output device (monitor) of a computer. This is a method for digitally synthesizing and manipulating visual content. It is abbreviated as CG, sometimes referred to as computer-generated imagery (CGI). By using Computer Graphics we can create or develop data and imagination in the particular field. Computer graphic technology is  very useful in making  movies, video games,catalog designs and other commercial arts. We can also make art from Computer Graphics. This technology include user interface design, sprite graphics, vector graphics, 3D Modeling, shaders, GPU design, implicit surface Visualization with ray tracing, and computer vision and other  technologies.
 
 
For generating animated images, the process we use is Computer Animation. Computer Animation is nothing but creating the “illusion of movement” using a series of still images. Modern Computer Animation usually uses 3D Computer Graphics, although 2D computer graphics are also used for stylistic, low bandwidth, and faster real-time renderings.
The best animation techniques are Traditional Animation (frame by frame),Keyframing, Procedural, Behavioral, Performance Based (Motion Capture), Physically Based (Dynamics), Key Framing, & Morphing.
 
 
CAD (computer-aided design)is the process of design with the support of a CAD system.CAD software is used by architects, engineers, artists, and others to create drawings or technical illustrations. CAD software can be used to create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings or three-dimensional (3-D) models.
The greatest advantage of using CAD is increase in productivity, ability to store large amount of infomation and enabling designs analysis in various angles, sizes, and cross-sections.
 
 
Animation is not only for entertainment it’s also used in educational videos and promotions both on TV, internet and it can also be used in the research and development to create simulations.

Mobile gaming is a rising market right now, and everyone wants to dive in and grab the market. Applying design and aesthetics to create a game is Game Design. This can be used  for entertainment or for educational. Video games are a $30 billion industry in the U.S., because people play games on their mobile phones, according to Reuters. Game designers are major part of a complete team of designers and developers that synchronize the complex task of creating a new video game.
 
Track 6: Modeling:
 
Modeling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any surface of an object in three dimensions using specialized software.This transition is made possible through a process called "Modeling". Also Computer Graphics as a separate field of Computer Science makes extensive use of formal theories and procedures of Modeling.
 
Track 7: Simulation:
 
Computer Simulations reproduce the behavior of a system using a mathematical model. We use Computer Simulation for the mathematical Modeling of many natural systems in physics, chemistry and biology, human systems in economics, psychology, social science, and engineering. Computer Simulations are nothing but the  computer programs and they might be either small and it will run instantly on small devices, or large programs that run for hours or days on network-based groups of computers.
Computer Simulations are used in various practical contexts, such as:
  • Weather forecasting
  • Simulation of electrical circuits
  • Imulation of other computers is emulation.
  • Design of complex systems such as aircraft and also logistics systems.
  • Robot simulators for the design of robots and robot control algorithms
  • Modeling car crashes to test safety mechanisms in new vehicle models.
  • Design of industrial processes, such as chemical processing plants
 
 
Gamification used by companies in order to gather big data or change user behaviour.Gamified applications are different from games because it has an other purpose like cleaning or collecting data. Gamification is a recent trend in marketing and user experience design. Gamification has several applications in the domain of marketing. Certain companies are applying gamification techniques to engage customers and reward them in return. Brands find this a very useful platform as many people like playing games.
Gamification is about amplifying the effect of an existing, core experience by applying the motivational techniques that make games so engaging.

Track 9: Rendering:
 
Rendering is also called as image synthesis and it is the automatic process of creating  a photorealistic or non-photorealistic image by using  2D or 3D model by means of computer programs. Rendering is also used to describe the process of calculating effects in a video editing file to produce final video output. Pre-rendering is a process  used for movie creation, while real-time rendering is often done for 3D video games which rely on the use of graphics cards with 3D hardware accelerators.
 
Track 10: Visualization:
 
We can make images, diagrams, or animations to communicate a message by using Visualization. Education, engineering, interactive multimedia, medicine, etc  are the main areas where Visualization application is mostly used.
Applications of visualization:
There are some applications of visualization.
 
Scientific visualization : Scientific visualization is the  most important section of visualization and it is the transformation or representation of data from simulations or experiments.
Information visualization : In this section, we concentrates on the use of computer- supported tools to explore large amount of abstract data.
Educational visualization : This is used to teach any topic which is difficult to understand. Educational visualization is using a simulation to create an image of something so it will make easy to teach.
Knowledge visualization :  knowledge visualization is used on transferring insights and creating new knowledge in groups where as information visualization concentrates on the use of computer-supported tools to derive new insights.
Product visualization : Product visualization involves visualization software technology for the viewing and manipulation of 3D models, technical drawing and other related documentation of manufactured components and large assemblies of products.
Visual communication : visual communication is a idea of displaying the information through the visuals.
Visual analytics : The science of analytical reasoning supported by the interactive visual interface is called Visual analytics.
 
Track 11: 3D Printing:
 
3D Printing is a process used to create a three-dimensional object.To create an object in 3D printing, layers of material are formed under computer control. 3D printing allows us to produce complex shapes using less material than traditional manufacturing methods. A 3D model is created from the ground up with 3D Modeling software. Jewellery, dental and medical industries, industrial design, architecture, engineering and construction, geographic information systems,  automotive, aerospace, education,  civil engineering, and many others sectors are using 3D Printing technology.
 
Track 12: 3D Web Technology:
 
3D Web Technology was an idea to  display and navigate Web sites using 3D. WebGL (Web Graphics Library) is a JavaScript API for rendering 3D graphics within any compatible web browser without the use of plug-ins.
With WebGL now widely supported by default in modern browsers, tools such as X3D, X3DOM, Cobweb, three.js, glTF, and A-Frame VR are allowing nearly anyone to create Web3D content.
 
 
Image Processing is a method to convert an image into digital form and execute the operations on it to get the useful information from it.  Image processing does typically involve filtering or enhancing an image using various types of functions in addition to other techniques to extract information from the images.
Digital Image Processing transfers out automatic processing, administration and explanation of such visual information and it carries important role in daily life, as well as in a wide variety of disciplines and fields in science, technology, with applications such as photography, robotics, remote sensing, television, medical diagnosis and industrial inspection.
 
 
Human-Computer Interaction  is a study of the design, evaluation, implementation and use of interactive systems.  It mainly focused on the interfaces between people (users) and computers.
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) defines human-computer interaction as "a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them".
The Large  Scale Computing, Networked Computing, Personal Computing,   Mobile Computing, Virtual  Reality and  Augmented Reality paradigms ,  Collaborative Environments were analyzed  with  the 5W+H heuristic process. 
The who, what, where, why, and how (5W+H) heuristic is a procedure that can be used to define and analyze existing interaction paradigms and spaces and explore the elements and objects with which the user interacts.
 The heuristic has three components:  
The What/How : This is used to understand the physical and virtual interface components. For example, I/O devices, windows, icons, etc.
Where/When: This is related to physical environment.  It looks at the differences between office, portable, wearable systems.
Who/Why: This looks at the types of tasks and skill sets required.
