Computer Animation is a subfield of Computer Graphics  and animatin.Computer Animation is a process of creating moving images with the use of computers. Mostly animations are done by using 3D Computer Graphics. For stylistic, rendering and low bandwidth, 2D Computer Graphics technology is used. Animation is the change of an attribute overtime. There are so many methods for achieving th animation.
For creating  the illusion of movement, an image is displayed on the computer screen then immediatly replaced by a new image that is similar to the previous image, but shifted slightly.

In media and entertainment industry, 3D Animation is one the fastest growing trend. Animation movies are attracting so many people now a days. The 3D animation totally accepted by everyone due to involvement of visually engaging and powerful elements. In 3D animation, 3D printing technology has been used to develop prototypes by 3D printers to create stop motion pictures. Computer Animation technology widely used across corporate production, clothing and fashion, advertisement, television, computer gaming, and publishing industries.

North America is having big market share currently for 3D Animation market due high adoption of 3D imaging technologies such as 3D printers, 3D animation.

In Europe region, 3D animation market having high growth rate due to presence of large number of automotive and aerospace companies. Because these companies are improving their business productivity by using 3D animation technology.

Game Design is the art of applying design  to create a game. This is created for entertainment or for educational, exercise, or experimental purposes.
Applying design and aesthetics to create a game is Game Design. This can be used  for entertainment or for educational. Video games are a $30 billion industry in the U.S., because people play games on their mobile phones, according to Reuters. Game designers are major part of a complete team of designers and developers that synchronize the complex task of creating a new video game.

Nowadays  Modeling is extensively used  in movies, videogames, architecture, publishing, geology, medical science etc. There are some popular 3D Modeling softwares available  for creation of 3D models like Maya, 3Ds Max, Lightwave, Blender and Milkshape 3D.

Top techniques used for creating 3D models:
  • Box/Subdivision Modeling
  • Edge/Contour Modeling
  • NURBS/Spline Modeling
  • Digital Sculpting
  • Procedural Modeling

Computer Simulation is nothing but the  computer programs and they might be either small and it will run instantly on small devices, or large programs that run for hours or days on network-based groups of computers.

Simulations can consist of focused physical Simulations to complex interconnected systems. Simulations can be used to produce numbers. Some Simulations can produce theories of human behaviors. Other simulations test security while others investigate industrial control.

The Web3D / WebGL / HTML5 topic area is designed to extract from the research community, state of the art techniques for visualizing distributed simulations. Computer Simulations are used in various practical contexts, such as.,Weather forecasting, Simulation of electrical circuits, Imulation of other computers is emulation, Design of complex systems such as aircraft and also logistics systems, Robot simulators for the design of robots and robot control algorithms, Modeling car crashes to test safety mechanisms in new vehicle models, and Design of industrial processes, such as chemical processing plants.

Social Games are built on a social media platform like Facebook or Google+.They  are designed to engage the player’s social network of friends. Gamification is the process of using game mechanics in a non-game context. This can be anything from health and fitness, to employee motivation, to simply engaging customers that use your website or app. Gamified applications are different from games because it has an other purpose like cleaning or collecting data. Gamification is a recent trend in marketing and user experience design. Certain companies are applying gamification techniques to engage customers and reward them in return. Brands find this a very useful platform as many people like playing games.
Gamification is about amplifying the effect of an existing, core experience by applying the motivational techniques that make games so engaging.

Rendering is one of the major sub-topics of 3D Computer Graphics. Rendering is used in architecture, video games, simulators, movie or TV visual effects, and design visualization. Rendering is the process of generating an image from a 2D or 3D model by using computer programs.
It is also used to describe the process of calculating effects in a video editing program to produce final video output. We render or picture or model to convert it into high resolution photo-realistic image.

Web 3D refers to interactive 3D technology that one can use through a web browser.
WebGL (Web Graphics Library) is a JavaScript API for Rendering 3D graphics within any compatible web browser without the use of plug-ins. Modern Web3D pages are commonly powered by WebGL.
3D Computer Graphics  are graphics that use a three-dimensional representation of data that is stored in the computer for the purposes of performing calculations and Rendering 2D images. Such images may be stored for viewing later or displayed in real-time.

Image Processing is a process to convert an image into digital form and perform some operations on it , to get an enhanced image or to extract some useful information from it. It is a type of signal dispensation in which the input can be image, like video frame or photograph and output, may be image or characteristics associated with that image.
Image Processing basically includes the following three steps.
First we have to import the image with optical scanner or by digital photography and then analyzing and manipulating the image which includes data compression and image enhancement and spotting patterns that are not to human eyes like satellite photographs. Finally result can be altered image or report that is based on image analysis in the final output stage.

There are two types of methods for Image Processing. They are Analog and Digital Image Processing.  Analog or visual techniques of Image Processing is  used for the hard copies like printouts and photographs. Digital Image processing is a technique helps in manipulation of the digital images by using computers.

Human-Computer Interaction  is a study of the design, evaluation, implementation and use of interactive systems.  It mainly focused on the interfaces between people (users) and computers. HCI has since expanded to cover almost all forms of information technology design.
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) defines Human-Computer Interaction as "a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major phenomena surrounding them".
